2014 International Women’s Day Art Prize and Exhibition

Congratulations to Nebuli artists Rosemary Atkinson, Carolyn Pettigrew and Prue Platt-Hepworth who have been selected as finalists in the 2014 International Women’s Day Art Prize and Exhibition.

2013

Congratulations to John Bardell who is a finalist in the Hornsby Art Prize 2013 with “Decaying Form #8”.  Traditional photographic techniques produce a wonderful recognisable quality to the finished prints. But Nebuli artist John Bardell has employed both traditional and modern experimental print techniques to produce his work.  John has used his digital imagery to produce photopolymer plates (solar plates) which are then inked and put through a traditional printing press. However, not content to print on traditional print-making paper John has developed a “rusted” paper for his images.  The combination of modern and traditional techniques has produced a set of beautiful unique state prints of which “Decaying Form #8” well and truly worthy of his inclusion amongst Hornsby Art Prize finalists.

2012

Congratulations to Michael Haylen, a founding member of Nebuli Arts. He has had his “Energy of Form – Light on Water” portfolio included in the 2012 Silvershotz collection. To see Michael’s work in Silvershotz portfolio and that of the other selected artists click here.  During the last 5 years Silvershotz magazine has promoted more than 120 contemporary photographers around the world in an ever increasing competitive market place through its annual portfolio. The primary goal of the folio has been to provide a marketing tool for emerging and newly established photographic artists who wanted to promote their work to the international community. It is increasingly difficult in a crowded world to get that first foot in the door. The Silvershotz folio provides photographic artists legitimacy and introductions to galleries and institutions around the world to further their careers. The rigorous selection process by the jury panel recognized that each folio had reached an exceptional international standard.
